Everything we do at BetterWorld is oriented towards serving nonprofits with best-in-class fundraising tools. Our mission is to make these tools, which normally cost thousands, free and available for every nonprofit.
Below is the full breakdown on any fees or upgrades associated with BetterWorld.
-- Membership Plans --
Our goal with membership plans is to offer a variety of flexible choices for nonprofits -- all of which include free, amazing support and unlimited use of the BetterWorld platform.
Free Forever: This is the free version of all of our tools. On this plan, BetterWorld includes a suggested contribution on winning bids, purchased tickets, etc., which helps cover the costs of running each campaign and helps nonprofits keep 100% of what they raise. (It's totally optional, though!). There are no limits on the Free Forever plan (or on any of our plans!) -- organizations can run as many campaigns with as many donors as they like!
Flex: Our Flex plan is designed for organizations that would prefer to remove suggested contributions, without upgrading to a paid membership (Partner or Enterprise). On this plan, a small fee applies to transactions, ranging from 1% to 5%, which can be hidden from donors and simply deducted from dollars raised or it can be made visible as an optional or required selection.
Partner: Our Partner plan is designed for organizations processing larger dollar amounts that would prefer to cover the costs of fundraising instead of asking donors. This plan has a $1,550 annual membership and a 1% fee on transactions. Similarly to the Flex plan, this can be hidden from donors, required, or simply deducted from dollars raised. It's the exact same functionality as the Free and Flex plans, just a slightly different way our platform can be supported.
Enterprise: For organizations processing more than $2M a year on BetterWorld, or national groups with numerous sub-chapters, we offer enterprise pricing that can be customized for your organization's needs. Please reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help!
-- Payment Processing --
Our goal with payment processing is to ensure safe, secure, low-cost transactions, and to do everything we can do to ensure that nonprofits can keep 100% of the dollars they raise.
Credit Card Costs: Our payment processor, Stripe, charges 2.9% + $0.30 per credit card transaction. By default, we give your donors the option to cover this charge for you. If you want to adjust the default settings and cover the credit card transaction fees, check out this article.

Our goal with support offerings to ensure that every organization can receive the help they need to be successful on BetterWorld.
Free: Our core support offering is 100% free. We're here for whatever you need to help you be successful and to have your campaign on BetterWorld be the best that you've ever had! Zoom, phone, chat, email -- whatever you need, we have an amazing, friendly support team that's here to help.
Concierge: For organizations that would like a little more help, we offer a concierge level of support for $275 per event that gives you a dedicated team member (one of our partners) to assist along the way to ensure your campaign goes smoothly and performance is optimized. This is a great option if you have an event late on the weekend and want to ensure there's a point of contact standing by for whatever may come up.
