Entering a giveaway is easy! Follow these steps.
First, head to the giveaway you want to enter. You can find the giveaway through the organization's profile page on BetterWorld (which is usually the organization's name.betterworld.org). The giveaway page will look something like this:
If the giveaway has not started yet, the page will not have the "Enter to win" button - this will only appear when the giveaway is active. You will see when the giveaway opens, here:
If the giveaway is open, click the blue "Enter to win" button, or scroll down the page to "Details" and "Rules" where you will see the option to purchase tickets on the right.
The giveaway will either be fixed ticket price (note the price per entry is set by the organization) or a sliding scale (each dollar donated counts as one entry). Select how many entries you would like (or how much money you would like to donate) and click the blue button.

You will then be brought to the checkout screen. If you already have a BetterWorld account from a previous donation and are logged in, that's great! Your card information will already be saved, or you can select to "Pay with a different card."
If you have an account from a previous donation, you can log in button. If this is your first donation, you will need to enter your personal information on the checkout screen. This page will prompt you to enter a password, which will automatically create a BetterWorld account for you and keep you signed in.
Although a password is optional, we recommend creating a BetterWorld account if you plan on making several donations. Here are some reasons to create an account:

Finally, click donate, and you will be redirected to this screen!
Check your email for a receipt from messages@betterworld.org. Here is what your receipt will look like:
Note that you have an "Entry ID" number, which will keep track of the total number of entries you have (if you decide to donate again and receive more entries).
The email will also include the total amount you donated (including the transaction fee and donation to help cover fundraising costs, if you opted into those) and the total amount of entries you received from this transaction.
At the very bottom of the email, you will see the EIN number of the organization for tax filing purposes.
