Our mission at BetterWorld is to provide best-in-class fundraising tools for individuals and organizations around the country. And keep it completely free so that the amazing organizations who are using our platform can keep 100% of what they raise!
We don't sell data, share email lists with advertisers, or insert tacky ads on fundraising pages. We don't up-sell for more features or limit the number of team members, items, or campaigns that organizations can run.
The first way to support our platform and keep BetterWorld free is an optional contribution on winning bids and other transactions. 100% of this contribution goes to covering the fundraising costs for your campaign so we can keep our platform free, and also keep it sustainable. There's no minimum number of donors that have to cover these costs. With some organizations, all the donors choose to support us. With others, many fewer. Our hope (and what we've seen) is that it will all work out with averages. (Regardless, even if no donors support us from your campaign, we don't take it out of what you raise!)
For organizations that would prefer to cover the cost of fundraising themselves (instead of prompting donors), we offer a few other options. All of these options are designed simply for flexibility -- no additional features are gained ... it's a different way of keeping this platform sustainable and these tools available for every nonprofit.
Other than the Free Forever plan, organizations can choose from the Flex Plan or the Partner Plan. The Flex Plan removes the optional donor prompt for a suggested contribution and instead places a 1% to 5% fee on transactions. This fee can either be hidden from donors and simply deducted from dollars raised or it can be made visible as an optional or required selection. The Partner Plan is designed for organizations processing larger dollar amounts that would prefer to cover the costs of fundraising instead of asking donors. With this plan, there is a $1,550 annual subscription (and a 1% fee on transactions) that removes suggested contributions from all campaigns for a year. Again, it's the exact same functionality as the Free and Flex plans, just a slightly different way our platform can be supported. (We also offer an Enterprise Plan for organizations processing more than $2M a year on BetterWorld, or for national groups with numerous sub-chapters, which can be customized for your organization's needs. Organizations also have the option to upgrade their support with our Concierge service. With this service, you will have an onboarding call as well as a dedicated support partner throughout your campaign. You can learn more about Concierge service here. It's a great option for groups that could use a bit more personalized guidance and night-of help for an event.
