BetterWorld doesn't charge nonprofits a platform fee, nor do we take a percentage out of what organizations raise on our site. We rely entirely on the generosity of individual supporters to keep our platform running and to cover the costs of running campaigns for nonprofits. To do this, we include a suggested contribution on winning bids, purchased tickets etc. Donors who prefer not to contribute to help cover these costs for the nonprofit are able to opt-out of this contribution.
Individuals may also include an optional tip to help support BetterWorld's mission of keeping fundraising free for all nonprofits. These tips help us continue to develop world-class tools and helps cover the fundraising costs for organizations who can't afford to do so. If you've previously tipped us and would like to change the amount of your tip or request a refund on your tip for any reason, please submit a ticket here and we'll take care of that ASAP.
