BetterWorld has two types of auctions available. Online bidding and live bidding! When setting up your auction you will be prompted to pick the bidding style you want to use. Currently, your auction needs to be one or the other. If you want to have both online and live bidding for your auction you can set up two auction campaigns. Both auctions will be accessible to bidders from your organization's profile page. Check out an example here.
Online Bidding
When using only bidding all bidders will place their bids online using their phone, table to computer. These bids can be placed at home, on the go, or at your organization's event.
BetterWrold makes online bidding easy for in-person events! Simply share the link or QR code to your auction with your bidders. We also provide automatically generated table cards for all of your auction items. To learn more about table cards and how to download them click here.
Online bidders will be prompted to add their payment information as they place their first bid. We require payment information as well as the bidder's name, email, and password to place a bid. Online bidders also have the option to give their phone number so they can receive out-bid text messages. They will also get out-bid notifications via email.
Bidding will end automatically at the time you have sent and then you will be prompted to close the auction and charge winning bidders cards. Online bidders will automatically be sent emails to let them know what they have won and receipt emails! For more information about the end of auction processes for online bidding click here.
Live Bidding
BetterWorlds live bidding tool allows you to run in-person live auctions and enter the winning bids online!
Before the auction add your items and all of the details, including a photo. You can share your live auction with your bidder so they can preview the items that will be at the event.
BetterWorld provides a beautiful and simple display view to show off your items while the auctioneer is accepting bids. A member of your team or the auctioneer can toddle through the items to provide a visual while bidding. Each time will have its own page!
Have someone from your team record the winning bidder and the amount of the winning bid for each item. 
You can add a new donor or select from existing donors if the winner already has an account with BetterWorld.
Once you have entered all your winners and closed the auction your winners will be emailed a link to pay for their winning bids.
You will be able to track who has paid on the "Payments" page of your auction.
